About Annangrove
Annangrove is a suburb in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The suburb is about 42 kilometres north-west of Sydney, in the local government area of The Hills Shire and part of the Hills District region.
History of Annangrove
The suburb was named after Annangrove House. The Annangrove House took its name from the Scottish town of Annan where George Johnston was born. The first industry in the area was timber cutting. From the 1880s, the land was used for orchards. In 1915 Annangrove became the customary name for the suburb. It is now a peaceful rural suburb filled with hobby farms and sprawling acreage properties.
